Lewis Reed and CustomBuild Carpentry
CustomBuild Carpentry is Lewis Reed's business. He works from a workshop in Westham, near Pevensey, making fitted furniture, shelving, media walls and garden builds for homes and businesses across East Sussex.

That was Lewis's answer when he was asked what he loves most about the job. Asked why he started his own business, he said: “It was the natural progression; the next step in my little plan.”
How Lewis works
Most jobs follow the same pattern. Lewis visits, measures up and takes photos of the space. Then he draws the design to scale, often on the computer, so you can see it before any timber is cut, and sends it with the full price.
The parts are made in the workshop in Westham. That keeps the dust and noise out of your house and cuts the time we spend on site to the fitting days.
Work goes out across the South East, and now and then a piece travels further: CustomBuild has taken work over to other European countries.
Who we work for
Mostly homeowners in Eastbourne, Pevensey, Hailsham, Polegate, Bexhill and Seaford. We also do commercial fit-outs: a lit retail kiosk for a shopping centre, sunbed cubicles for The Glow Lounge, shelving and counters for shops and bars.
